YOSEMITE BUG RUSTIC MOUNTAIN RESORT, Midpines

Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort offers various accommodation options, from basic bunks in single-sex dorms to private cabins. Private cabins feature luxurious brass beds, antique furniture, artwork, taxidermy, vintage terrariums, and retro posters. Superior Rooms (300sf) and Standard Rooms (190sf) come in a variety of bed types for couples to families. These duplex cabins (250 to 300 sf each) have forest views and decks with tables and chairs. All rooms have fine linens, bath products, towels, showers, HVAC, and Wi-Fi. Tent cabins have electricity for lighting and fans, screen doors, linens, decks, and log furniture. Heated/evaporative cooled insulated tent cabins include additional interior walls and decks. The new restroom complex has a sink bank, a laundromat, private showers, and toilets. The 6-bunk coed dorm has a shared bathroom with two baths, two showers, and a sink bank. Male and female dorms offer 3 bunks each and a private bathroom. Guests can also use a guest kitchen.

The messhall-style June Bug Cafe offers American comfort foods and International cuisine featuring hormone and antibiotic-free meats, cage-free eggs, organic grains, and local produce. Vegan and vegetarian meals dominate the menu. Breakfast is served from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM, including classics like the American Breakfast (hash browns, eggs, bacon or sausage, toast) for $9.50 to $14. Lunch items are available from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, like the Grass Fed Beef Cheese Burger or Beyond Burger for $13.00 to $19.00. Dinner includes organic Thai vegetable and tempeh curry and roast chicken with sweet potato mash for £8-£15. The dinner menu changes nightly with a mix of local, garden, sustainable, and organic ingredients. Handmade desserts, such as cheesecake, apple and berry pies, carrot cake, and German chocolate cake, are also available.

The Yosemite Health Spa includes a spring-fed stainless steel hot tub overlooking the valley, a cedar hot rock sauna, and showers. Guests can enjoy treatments, including massage and body scrubs. There is a tranquil wood-paneled yoga studio and massage rooms, as well as a garden deck among the trees. Aromatic Soaking Baths offer Muscle Rejuvenation, Energizing Wellness, and Skin Renewal soaks. Massage therapy includes Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Hiker's massages.

Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort is on a hillside one hour outside Yosemite National Park. The Cedar Lodge is located along the Central Yosemite Highway that stays open all year and runs into Yosemite National Park's west entrance. The Yosemite Valley Shuttle stops in front of the resort, providing access to the Visitors Center. Merced Municipal Airport is 80 km away. The resort is accessible via California Scenic Highway 140. YARTS bus service is available from Sacramento, San Francisco, and Los Angeles to the Midpines bus stop, with a 1/4 mile walk up the driveway. The resort can be reached from Hollywood or Downtown Los Angeles by taking the 5 North to the 99 North through Merced city to 140 East. Sacramento can be reached by taking 99 South to Merced city, then up the Sierra on 140 East.

The Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort has a lounge area with table tennis and darts. There is a computer with internet access. The venue offers group areas, including the Bodie Room, the Main Lodge with the June Bug Cafe, the Yosemite Health Spa, and the Firepit Amphitheater. The Amphitheater can accommodate up to 45 guests. The yoga studio can accommodate small groups of up to 16. The Ridge Top Plaza offers views of nearby forest land and mid-elevation Sierra mountains. Safety features include carbon monoxide and smoke detectors, a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit.
